In support of the women empowerment through CARE's VSLA methodology , Amir Kazemi, an athlete from Iran, will jump rope approximately 500 kilometres from Austria, across Switzerland, and ending in France. In the world’s poorest communities, girls and women bear the brunt of poverty. Fighting poverty in those communities requires focusing on girls and women to achieve equality. Inspired by childhood observations, Amir conceived of Swiss Jump rope to raise public attention for women with inadequate financial access across the world. Along the way, Amir will organize and participate in various meetings, presentations and social events to engage and inform local Swiss communities on CARE’s programs for women’s economic empowerment. Amir encourages friends, families and supporters to attend these events and donate to the "Village Saving and Loan Association" (VSLA) program which is run by CARE organization. SwissJumpRope project will start on March 2018, in Switzerland. The project will initiate from Gaißau in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, passing across Switzerland through St. Gallen, Winterthur, Zürich, Lucerne, Bern, Lausanne, Geneva and finish in the Saint-Julien-en-Genevois region inside France.
